Every Woman Deserves a COURAGEOUS Man

If you watched the movie Courageous you would know that this movie was POWERFUL and touched the very core of what God is calling all men to be: Courageous. 

What makes a man courageous?

The following words come to mind : ACCOUNTABLE and RESPONSIBLE. 
 
When a man is accountable and can handle responsibility he can become your COURAGEOUS MAN.
If not, you may want to refrain from getting into a serious relationship with him at this time until he takes life more seriously.

So what does an accountable and responsible man look like?

• He takes responsibility for his actions and doesn't play the blame game 
• He thinks about the consequences of his actions before he does it
• He pays his bills on time
• He does what he say's he is going to do 95% of the time.:)
• He is reliable and dependable
• He doesn't only care about himself he wants to be a positive example to other men
• He cares about the needs of his own home
• He can be trusted
• He is honest with himself and doesn't give excuses
• He spends regular time with God in prayer and reading His word
• He is a good steward of his finances
• He doesn't say the words I LOVE YOU unless he means it
• He is looking for a commitment

THE RESOLUTION

I DO solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for myself, my wife, and my children.

I WILL love them, protect them, serve them, and teach them the Word of God as the spiritual leader of my home.

I WILL be faithful to my wife, to love and honor her, and be willing to lay down my life for her as Jesus Christ did for me.

I WILL bless my children and teach them to love God with all of their hearts, all of their minds, and all of their strength.

I WILL train them to honor authority and live responsibly.

I WILL confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy.

I WILL pray for others and treat them with kindness, respect, and compassion.

I WILL work diligently to provide for the needs of my family.

I WILL forgive those who have wronged me and reconcile with those I have wronged.

I WILL learn from my mistakes, repent of my sins, and walk with integrity as a man answerable to God.

I WILL seek to honor God, be faithful to His church, obey His Word, and do His will.

I WILL courageously work with the strength God provides to fulfill this resolution for the rest of my life and for His glory.

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. ---Joshua 24:15

Ladies let's pray that men all over, will become men of accountability and responsibility and not shy away from being the man that God has called them to be for their community, children and bride: Courageous.
